EM Vlad's resignation

BiC made it’s presence known at the resignation of EM Vlad  last night in Luna. Unfortunately, a few of the BiC’ers had to act like asshats– but then again, I guess that’s to be expected!

Last night we had a pretty good group online, so we decided to go do a couple of spawns.

I can only speak for myself and those in my house when I say that we had a blast. The spawns were quick and painless and we got a few nice scrolls to boot.

On another note, I’d like to take this time to say I now have ownership over Rattigas’s house.  Um…YAY!

I’d like to take this time to welcome back Claire to the BiC family. It’s like our old peeps are crawling out of the wood work!

Good freakin’ times.

Hahaha!! At this point, I’ve been unable to convince anyone the rest of the BiC’ers to change their house designs— but hey! It’s a start

Yesterday we ended up laying something like 5 additional houses in the BiC Compound.

Nothing says, ‘We’re baaaaaack’ like completely fucking crawling into whatever free space is available and invading the area like a fucking virus. What REALLY made me laugh was standing in Luna the other day and seeing some dude say to his friend “Who the fuck is BiC? They are like cockroaches, fucking EVERYWHERE.”

This comment was full of lulz.

It’s been a neat experience coming back to Ultima Online. One would think, with all the years that have passed since we left, that we would come back to a completley different game, with different sorts of people doing different things.

What I have found has been rather refreshing. What I have seen is a lot of the same people. I’ve found a lot of the same people doing a lot of the same shit that we were doing back in the day.

We are back to a place where we can’t WAIT to get home, so that we can log in. It doesn’t ever matter what it is we are doing– as long as we are doing SOMETHING together.

It’s been really, really cool.

On another note, I’ve realized that Stratics UHall is still full of flamers.

The beginnings of  The BiC Compound: Redux have commenced!

Nat's House

The house above was just a place to get us started. We got lucky enough to place 3 houses right next door to each other, and 2 more a screen and a half away.

Jay's House

Jay, of course will not accept anything but an 18×18. The reality is the ability to customize an 18×18 is far greater than anything offered in a large tower. There’s no way he’d own anything but this. As you can see, he’s already ‘built’ it according to old school BiC standards: no doors, wide open space to run through, quick exits on the side for big pvp fights, etc.

Layna's House

Layna’s house always has a bit of flair, but since the whole guild stores everything they fucking own in Layna’s place, she doesn’t have a lot of room for frilly decor. Her house sits sandwiched next to mine.

Hunter's House

Hunter’s little place sits right beside mine.

Lisa's House

Lisa’s place doesn’t sit in the BiC Compound- but it won’t take her long to get there, to be sure.

Arxus's House

Somehow, Arxus squeezed this nice plot right next to Jay’s 18×18. He customized it like a newby douche for like an hour and a half.

I’m missing a screeny of John’s place, but that’s because I wasn’t online when he placed it, and also because he wasn’t online when I got online. More to come!

Last night we decided to 4 man the despise spawn. Keep in mind, folks that my toon is unfinished (omg…so freakin’ unfinished”, Lisa is new, and all of us completely forgot about how to play. (Fields, pots? Really? How could we POSSIBLY forget???) I spent much of my time being dead, (apparently, having zero % resist is fail. Why do I have zero resist??). We wiped due to spawn once (we got trapped, and sort of forgot we could dispell the vortexes that were randomly running around the wrong way) and hten when we were almost to the last level of spawn, we got rolled by two reds and a blue. I was a one shot kill, and shortly thereafter the rest of the crew died.

I must say it was fun- death and all. I’m ready to work my skills up though, and get some ‘umph’ back behind my spells.

John is firing up his account tonight, and I’m hoping that I can convince Esp to join us again, although she’s been running with another guild for a very long time.

It’s been awesome to see old friends and faces on the shard.

Damn, it’s great to be back!
