I am so out of the hardware loop I dont know what's what.  I havnt touched my desktop in at least 3 years and would probably have to regut the whole thing to upgrade it, which im not about to do.  I plan on buying a new desktop in the next week or two.  Im looking to spend $500-700 for the whole tower, when I google desktops in that price range all i get is a refurbished HP pavilion.  So what type of chipset should I be looking at? and what kind of video card would be best at this price?

    i5 2500k CPU
Asus P67 or Z68 Mobo (or equivalent)
GTX 560 Ti or better GPU
    8 GB of RAM
    700+ Watt PSU
    Case of your choice
Stock cooler will work until you can get more money for a good one.

This will probably fit into your budget nicely!

You'll get a beast of a computer with this setup.

Alki, is there a big difference between the GTX 550 and the 560?

Big enough.  If you're playing at a lower resolution than 1920x1200 you might be able to get away with it on lower settings.  Really tho, if you're planning on gaming with this machine, the video card is going to be the most important component.

Also, be sure to get the 560 Ti, not just the 560 -- worlds of difference there.

Sorry for the delayed response, but Jay is correct.

GTX 560 Ti is one hell of a card and will play this game like a champ. The "Ti" is critical and I wouldn't recommend anything under a GTX 560 Ti to play this game ... not until they optimize the game better and/or get some quality drivers for Nvidia cards for optimization on the GPU side.
