SWTOR Beta weekend is done ... so what did you think?

    Well, I rolled another Sith Inquisitor Sorcerer and enjoyed it. Got him to 22 and did some PvP also (which was fun, but frame rates dropped on my sons machine).

    This is about as good as it got for me on the toon. I absolutely grew bored with the lightning. Over and over and over ... lightning, more lightning on top of even more lightning. It got old. So I created a Bounty Hunter and enjoyed it, but it just didn't feel like something I would be interested in. I like being the robed glass cannon. BH felt too much like a Hunter in WoW. So I went back to my level 15 Jedi Sage (which I thoroughly enjoyed in the last beta weekend).

    Played the Sage to 25. Got to 3150 Dark Side Points (Dark II), owned some shit in PvP, got my first mount (for a speeder, it sure is slow as hell) and after comparing the Sage to the Sorcerer, I basically confirmed my decision to go Republic for the launch of Star Wars: The Old Republic.

    The Jedi story is better, the animations are FAR superior and overall, just felt right for me. So it looks like I won't be rolling with you guys after all. I absolutely detest the Sorcerer and didn't enjoy the Marauder like I thought I would (although the Marauder is a baaaad bitch the higher you get in level). The one thing I will miss is the bad ass starship the Sith get. But meh, it's only cosmetic.

    I did a few PvP matches on the Sage and 2 of the 3 matches I was voted MVP! (WOOT!). My damage was usually double the guy in 2nd place in damage and I would have high numbers in objectives also. I learned that Sorcerer's are easy targets in PvP. Just follow the lightning or look for the dude in a lightning filled bubble!

    I may change my mind, but as it sits right now ... it's Jedi Sage for me. Sorry guys.  :(

    Overall though, I am really excited about SWTOR. It really is an amazing game. They've done a good job. Still a bunch of bugs, but hopefully they'll get them all worked out before launch. There has only been 2 other times I've been this excited about playing a game: 1.) When the Burning Crusade expansion for WoW was announced, and 2) When Ultima Online 2 was announced.

    So ya, I'm stoked! Great game! I just hope end game delivers ...

    I really like the Jedi Sage. It is that much of a deal breaker for me. It's smoother, everything flows and overall, it's just a better feel for me. I know that sounds stupid, but in all honesty, words can describe it. On the Sage I felt like me. On the Sorcerer, I felt handicapped.

    Not to mention, I have seen soooooo many posts on people going Empire. So we will see!

    Agree on the Sage, Alki. Was easily my favorite of the classes I tried out.
